Summary of Project Results

The project developed and implemented an Occupational Safety and Health Star Recycling Enterprise Scheme to improve OSH standard of the recycling industry. Recycling enterprises that joined the scheme and passed the safety audit would be accredited as “OSH Star Enterprise”.

The project mainly focused on the following areas:
•A kick off ceremony, sharing sessions cum ceremony for good OSH practices were held

•Implemented the accreditation scheme for “OSH Star Enterprise”
•OSH seminars/ briefing sessions were organised
•Promotion activities such as production of promotional materials and advertisement of the Scheme through mass media
•Provision of training course for recycling industry
•Provision of personal protective equipment and OSH enhancement tools
•Consultancy visits and accreditation on OSH were held
