Summary of Project Results	Target recyclers of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), which includes businesses recycling regulated electrical equipment (REE) and, more significantly, the many more recyclers dealing with WEEE in general, including electronics and other home appliances such as microwave ovens, audio equipment and electric fans: • To improve industry awareness and quality of work • To raise work efficiency, operational performance and professional standard • To enhance the core competence and competitiveness of the local recycling industry Project Deliverables: • Conduct interviews and site visits with industry associations, WEEE recyclers, green groups and academic institutions to study current local practice and expectations, with reference to experience in certification by international standards. Formulate a set of guidelines and best practices (in an e-guidebook) for the local WEEE industry based on international standards and local experience • Establish an e-platform for convenient and immediate communication, to promote market information sharing among industry stakeholders (e.g. current prices of various recyclables, import requirements, etc.) • Organize 1 promotional seminar • Organize 4 training workshops for local recyclers
