Project Targets

The applicant proposed a 24-month project to recycle C&I food waste. The applicant would establish 180 food waste collection points and collect 1,635 tons of food waste from C&I sector. For those food waste that needed to be unpacked and sorted, the applicant would collect those back to the transfer station for processing. For those do not require further processing, the applicant would assign the third-party food waste recyclers to collect the food waste from the generators directly.

A summary of the key performance indicators (KPIs) for this project are presented below:

  • 180 food waste collection points would be established.
  • 1,635 tonnes of food waste would be collected.
  • 40 sessions of trainings would be conducted for frontline workers / related personnel in which 400 participants would be involved.
  • Development of a food waste collection data management system to enhance the collection operation and efficiency.
