Project Targets

• Set up 23 smart recycling stations for recyclables in various residential communities:
– Heng Fa Chuen
– Nam Wa Po
– Mont Vert
– The Wonderland
– Tai Po Tau Tsuen
– HKFYG Youth Hostel PH2
• Smart bin technology: user identification, audio and video instructions, weight sensors, real-time data records, wireless communication with server
• Different compartments for various recyclables: food waste, metals, waste paper, plastic beverage bottles, other plastics, etc.
• Recyclables to be collected and passed to O∙PARK and local recyclers
• Target to recruit 4,000 users
• Organise promotion events at the residential communities
• Conduct user survey and data analysis
